This stunning reservoir offers breathtaking views, making it the perfect place to unwind and relax after such a feat. You can enjoy a leisurely stroll or an invigorating bike ride along the numerous trails which surround the area around the lake, all of varying difficulty and distance. You can make a relaxing pit-stop at the Artisans Coffee Shop for a quick bite and a drink or indulge in a fine-dining experience at the Lake Vyrnwy Hotel and Spa. 3. Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway
The Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway is a heritage railway line operating between the towns of Welshpool and Llanfair Caerenion. It’s a delightful experience taking you on a narrow-gauge steam journey across the rolling hills and lush valleys of the Mid Wales countryside. The railway first opened in 1903 to transport goods and passengers between the towns, but now instead offers a nostalgic trip back in time thanks to beautifully restored vintage locomotives and carriages.
